Click & Lock system for floorings is not a new thing, there are many click technologies from Unilin, Valinge, and I4F. The minimal thickness for a click & lock vinyl flooring is 4.5mm for the base layer. As a loose lay flooring product, as suppose to the loose lay flooring, the click technology offers waterproof performance between the tiles as the click & lock system prevents the water from penetrating between the planks.
Hybrid Structure ABA Vinyl Planks
The hybrid structure ABA vinyl planks combines the benefits of flexible vinyl planks and rigid core vinyl planks. Essentially it is the combination of LVT with SPC layers, creating a structured flooring plank that has the touch of comfort from LVT with dimensional stability performance of SPC. However, this is considered the more expensive type of resilient flooring as the products needs a two step manufacturing process to combine LVT and SPC layers together.
WPC Vinyl Planks
An advanced type of LVP flooring that has implemented the foaming process in the base layer. While the WPC stands for Wood Polymer Composition, it does not contain any wood fiber composition at all. The WPC simply refers to the fact that with the foamed base layer it has a wood like sound reflection when walked on. Some WPC flooring also goes for AB structurer with LVT on the top for improved durability. WPC vinyl planks are also more premium in pricing.
