What is Acoustic Vinyl Flooring?
Acoustic vinyl flooring is a resilient flooring that is designed with extra acoustic performance through layers of foaming material. Unlike conventional 4 layer structures of LVT and SPC, the acoustic vinyl planks has an additional foaming layer between the layers of vinyl plank. This additional layer improves the acoustic performance by adding foam layer as a barrier to reduce sounds transmitting through the composition. The new structure for acoustic vinyl flooring has proven to be effective and potentially a new style of vinyl flooring in the market.

Difference between Conventional Hybrid Vinyl Flooring with Acoustic Vinyl Flooring
Conventional hybrid vinyl floorings in the past has already created different type of vinyl planks that has, in essence, combined LVT with SPC together. These hybrid vinyl planks are generally referred as the ABA vinyl flooring or AB vinyl flooring. A refers to semi-rigid LVT layer, and B refers to rigid core SPC layer. Hybrid vinyl flooring is said to have combined the best part of both flexible LVT with rigid core SPC materials. However, even with this new design of vinyl flooring structure and specification, sound performance has not been significantly been improved.
Hybrid acoustic vinyl flooring looks at this issue, and using similar design principles, added a layer for foaming composition to improve the sound performance of vinyl planks.
