SPC Flooring is known as the Solid Polymer Composition flooring and Stone Plastic Composition flooring. It is a relatively new type of floor covering product that is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with calcium carbonate (Stone Powder), hence the names for SPC planks and rigid core vinyl floorings.

Product Structure of SPC Flooring
UV coating: Quality SPC planks has an UV coating on the surface of the SPC planks. The purpose of the UV coating is mainly for anti-UV effect that protects the printed decor layer from color fading. In addition, UV coating also act as a functional layer that can improve wear layer durability and anti-bacterial, anti-stain performance.
Transparent Protective Wear Layer: SPC has a transparent protective wear layer that prevents daily scratch and wear from damaging the decorative print layer.
Printed Decor Layer: High definition printed decor layer are applied to provide authentic visual appearance for the SPC flooring planks.
Rigid Core Layer: Made from composition of calcium carbonate and polyvinyl chloride that provide its structural rigidity. As it is a mixed composition of stone powder and PVC powder, hence the name for Stone Polymer Composition (SPC)
Underlayment (Options): Underlayments are added for improved acoustic performance and comforts. The most common type of underlayers applied are EVA underlayment, IXPE underlayment, and Cork underlayment.
