Multifamily Construction Expect to Stabilize at the end of 2025

Supply chain issues and high interest rates are projected to hinder the multifamily sector in early 2025, with stabilization expected later this year, according to economists at the NAHB International Builders Show.

In 2024, multifamily construction market has dropped significantly, with starts down 25% to 355,000 units. There are around one million apartments under construction, the highest since 1973, impacting the apartment market negatively.
