For 2026 Hengdi Flooring has launched a new collection design of luxury vinyl tile products featuring naturalistic simple designs. With true clean appearance that features minimal knots and cracks, the design pattern is truly minimalist. A timeless design that can easily work with any interior design and styles.
Product Specification for Dry Back LVT
Dryback luxury vinyl tile (LVT) are normally characterized for its thin layer of thickness. With a thickness of 2mm up to 3mm, dryback LVT are highly affordable for both residents and commercial use. The thinner thickness meant reduced material costs that reflects to lower and inexpensive prices. Due to the natural of dryback LVT being more light weighted (due to its thickness), it is installed with glue down installation methods.
- Common Thickness: 2.0mm up to 3.0mm
- Width: Common in 180mm and 195mm. (Different manufacturers might have different preference due to its existing slotting machines).
- Length: Most common with 1220mm length. 1515mm and 1820mm is also available but requires higher quality and manufacturing process.
- Wear Layer Thickness: Most common with 0.3mm thickness. 0.5 and 0.55mm also applies with higher premium collections.
- Underlayer: Generally no underlayer. Some premium collection dryback LVT will add a 1mm layer of IXPE / EVA to improve acoustic performance.
Product Specification for Loose Lay LVT
Loose lay Luxury VInyl TIle LVT has a special grip underlayer that help the LVT planks to stay in position where it is paved. It features a thicker plank thickness to support the grip performance while improving its dimensional stability to handle daily foot traffics. The most common thickness for loose lay LVT is between 4mm to 6mm. Loose lay installation was invented as a mean to reduce current click & lock patient premiums. In addition, loose lay installation also provide a easier and faster installation.
- Common Thickness: 4.0mm to 6.0mm
- Width: Common with 228mm
- Length: Common with 1220mm and 1515 length. Extra large planks for loose lay LVT is more rare as the longer plank compositions requires higher quality of manufacturing process and controlling.
- Wear Layer Thickness: As loose lay LVT is a more premium collection of LVT product, 0.5mm and 0.55mm are common wear layer thickness that is currently used by leading global brands.
- Underlayer: Loose lay LVT does not additional thickness build into the underlayer, however, it has an underlayer that holds more grip performance when pressured with enough weight, hence the main reason why loose lay LVT is always significantly thicker than the dryback LVT.
Product Specification for Click LVT
Click luxury vinyl tile LVT has been the most popular floating flooring product for residential homes. Its’ click and lock installation provide a super convenient installation process even for DIRers. The locking system also created a barrier between vinyl planks that further improve its waterproof performance from top to bottom. With the click system, click LVT can range from 5.5mm up to 10.5mm.
- Common Thickness: Commonly from 6.0mm to 8.0mm (including underlayment)
- Width: Common with 228mm width.
- Length: Common with 1220mm and 1515 length. Extra large planks for click LVT is more rare as the longer plank compositions requires higher quality of manufacturing process and controlling.
- Wear Layer Thickness:
- Underlayer: Click LVT can be customized with different underlayer materials and thickness. There is EVA and IXPE which are more affordable, and there are also natural materials such as cork for more premium click LVT. The thickness of underlayer can range between 1.0mm up to 2.0mm.
